Coolest tools are the ones that it are either amazing that they are free or ones that offer the most bang for the buck and should have a place in every online marketers toolbox. This will be an evolving list as new tools are introduced and as the online marketing world changes.

Automated article directory account sign-up and submission to 2,000+ article directories. Your article won’t show up at all of them directories (or it will take awhile) but you will get 500 – 1,000 postings. Great for linking to your backlinks (web 2.0 pages, YouTube videos, etc.). Traffic Travis
Free version lets you do everything but save your projects. The SEO competition module is particularly useful to get a quick idea of the competition for a search term. It uses a star system to indicate the competitiveness but also shows the attributes (PageRank, # of back links to the page and domain, keyword in Title and H1 tag, etc.) of the top 10 or 20 search engine results in an easy to read grid.

Posterous
Web 2.0 site that will automatically syndicate content you post to it to other web 2.0 sites including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, WordPress.com, identi.ca, Blogger.com, LiveJournal and Xanga. You can “post” to Posterous via email which makes it convenient.

Free cloud based document storage that is super easy. Install the app on your computer and a “dropbox” folder shows up in your documents folder. You can create subfolders within your dropbox folder and any files saved in them are available from any computer with internet access. Files are automatically synced and you can give access to certain folders to other people you specify. Very cool and easy to use service. Up to 8 GB free storage too.
